MR DUCK JOINS THE RECORD BOOKS AT THE DALBY STOCK HORSE SALE

By Laura Tacey

REGISTERED bidders from across the nation competed for 228 lots at the 46th annual Ray White Equine Dalby Stock Horse Sale, with sales under the hammer totalling more than $2,450,000, culminating in a clearance rate of 86 per cent.

The top sale price was achieved by Mr Duck (lot 120) selling for $75,000 which is one the highest selling horses ever sold through the Dalby Stock Horse Sale.

The buyer of Mr Duck was Brett Hall and Elsa Van Den Heever in Queensland. Mr M Crane from Maroochydore, Queensland was the vendor of the eight-year-old stallion, sired by Acres Destiny.

Ready to hit the ground running, Mr Duck has a proven pedigree that will shine through in the competitive arena holding unlimited potential.

Ray White Rural Dalby principal David Felsch said the support from vendors and buyers came from far and wide to ensure the success of the event – a real testament given the COVID-19 challenges.

“After viewing the overall sale results for this year, it proves that the Dalby Stockhorse Sale is just going strength to strength in the selling ring.” Mr Felsch said.

“It is a real privilege to have the opportunity to sell first class horses like Mr. Duck ”

Even though Mr Duck was passed in and later sold that afternoon, lot 120 was still sold under auction terms and conditions which contributed to the overall sale results for 2020.
