Welcome to the rural family Ray White Rural Bangalow

By Laura Tacey

BANGALOW real estate agent Greg Price knows every fence line from the Bay to Dunoon after more than four decades working in the sought-after north coast region of NSW.

Together with his wife, Ahlam Price, the pair (pictured above) bring a wealth of real estate experience to the Ray White Rural network with the opening of their new business Ray White Rural Bangalow.

The duo will focus on new developments and rural lifestyle properties that dot the Northern Rivers hinterland region. Mr Price said his passion has always been rural property and has both owned and sold several acreage lots in his life including a macadamia farm.

“Having bought, sold and lived on these farms for the last four decades, I have so much experience to offer both buyers and sellers,” Mr Price said.

“I can offer second to none advice on how to present farms and get them ready for market. From a buyer’s point of view, I can give them a real background or grounding for what will fit them and what to look out for in the acreage they want to buy.

“Our goal for the office is to grow the team but we want to keep it very local so we don’t lose that organic, community feel that makes us stand apart from the rest, while also being able to tap into the national capabilities of Australasia’s largest real estate group, Ray White.”

Bangalow and its surrounds are well known for green, rolling hills, pockets of rainforest and postcard perfect vistas of deep, crystal clear creek waters. Mr Price said this has made it increasingly popular with lifestyle buyers escaping the pressures of the big metropolitan centres.

“They call this region the golden triangle and it is a very finite area of the East Coast. Over the past 40 odd years, the quality of the country has allowed for subdivision into numerous hobby farms and lifestyle acreage properties” he said.

“The area also lends itself well to more horticultural pursuits with its high rainfall, good soil type and sloped land. Macadamia crops are quite viable and very profitable at the moment as prices skyrockets due to increasing demand.”

The area has also become popular with celebrities wanting a stunningly beautiful backdrop to establish their new hinterland getaway. With a main street brimming with boutique shops, art galleries and farm to table restaurants offering gourmet fare, Bangalow has become one of rural New South Wales’ best secrets.

Ray White Rural Managing Director Stephen Nell welcomed Greg and Ahlam Price to the family owned and led group.

“We are delighted that Greg and Ahlam have chosen to partner with Ray White Rural and have no doubt they will be an asset to the group,” Mr Nell said.

“We look forward to supporting them and celebrating their success.”
