ONE of the key players in livestock and rural real estate in the New England region of New South Wales has added another notch to his belt, becoming Director of Ray White Rural Bingara.
Charlie Hart has more than 30 years of experience in all facets of rural real estate including auctioneering, sales, stock and station management. He will join the existing Ray White Rural Bingara business with Russell Smyth who is moving into a livestock and rural property agent role.
“Ray White has become the leader in rural property marketing over the years, and I admire many of the agents who I have met and worked with in the group,” Mr Hart said.
“So when the opportunity arose to move into a Director role at Ray White Rural Bingara, I jumped at it and am thrilled that Russell Smyth will still be working alongside me.”
Since 1987, Mr Hart has worked right across the region including in the towns of Moree and Tamworth. In 1995, he moved into business ownership opening Hart Rural Agencies in Barraba and then duplicating the office model in Manilla.
“Moving into Bingara is a natural progression, and I am thrilled that we can now be part of the collective marketplace of around 10,000 people and be backed by the strength of the Ray White brand,” Mr Hart said.
Bingara is a small town on the Gwydir River in the New England region of the state. The region is known for having some of the finest cattle and sheep grazing country in Australia.
“Most of our listings are between 500ha and 2,000ha but we also sell smaller lifestyle properties and hobby farms, as well as residential blocks in the town,” he said.
“The cattle breeding and rainfall drew me to this area in the first place, and it is also a wonderful community and fantastic place to raise a family,” Mr Hart said.
Mr Hart and his wife Lucy live on a farm on the outskirts of Barraba, where they have raised their six children.
“Most of my children have moved off to the big smoke! So nobody to take over the family business as yet,” Mr Hart said.
Joining Mr Hart’s new team will also be Amanda Coddington and Property Manager Joelle Thompson will be staying on to work for the new entity.
“I am very lucky to have a team of around 30 people across the towns now, and many who have been with me for 20 plus years,” Mr Hart said.
“Our values are based on simply building really good relationships and looking after people for the long term; we also all understand farming and have a wealth of knowledge and experience ourselves.”
Mr Hart said that the goal for the first 12 months of owning Ray White Rural Bingara is to cement their business principles and start building really good relationships with the local community.
“We are locals looking after locals. There is a great family vibe in this community and the thing I enjoy most about my job is watching my clients grow their own farming businesses,” Mr Hart said.
Ray White Rural & Livestock Managing Director Stephen Nell was thrilled by the team’s expansion and welcomed Mr Hart to the family.
“The expansion for Charlie’s business is fantastic news, and Russell and Christene Smyth should be proud of the thriving business they have built,” Mr Nell said.
“Charlie will be a stellar edition to the extended Ray White Rural team and we cannot wait to see all he can achieve for the region.”
“We look forward to supporting him and the team as they continue to provide the best possible service to their customers,” Mr Nell said.
