Ray White Rural expands into Cooma NSW

By Laura Tacey

AUSTRALASIA’S largest real estate group have chosen Cooma to launch their latest office, at the gateway to the NSW Snowy Mountain region.

Local real estate names, Alicia Carrero and Steve Allen, will lead the sales charge and will work alongside Ellie and Doug Merriman, real estate veterans from the Ray White Bungendore team.

Ray White Bungendore have been with the group for more than 10 years, and retain the strongest market share in their region.

“We are thrilled to have two well known and loved faces, Steve and Alicia, opening up our exciting new office in Cooma and representing this brand,” Ms Ellie Merriman said.

Local agent Steve Allen, who has successfully run his boutique agency in the region for many years, along with Alicia Carrero who has a strong background in sales and property management, will ensure that the business is tuned toward a high level of service and sales performance.

“We love this region and have built a fantastic team to help us realise our real estate ambitions for the wonderful town of Cooma,” Ms Merriman said.

“We have a great mix in our team; Alicia is vibrant and really fired up, whilst Steve has strong real estate acumen and tremendous experience.”

Property Management is another service the new business will offer, with a full array of cloud based inspection and reporting technologies, utilising tried and tested processes that ensure inspections are regular and reporting is thorough to meet the NSW legislation.

Cooma is one hour from the nation’s capital of Canberra, which Ms Carrero said was a great asset to the town, having government and defence on their doorstep.

“Cooma has a big future ahead; with the renewal of the Snowy Hydro project, there is a lot of investment, mining and infrastructure going into our area,” Ms Carrero said.

“We are an extremely close knit community here with great family values, and we pride ourselves on the relationships we have built in Cooma and the region.”

Steven Allen said that he was thrilled to now be part of such an iconic real estate brand.

“Now we can build even more relationships with the backing of Ray White and all the exposure that will bring our vendor’s properties,” Mr Allen said.

“The Ray White brand exemplifies and shares the family values and the impact is already apparent; we have had a great response from the community with listings and property managements already coming through the doors,” he said.

Operations manager Sally Hughes will assist in the running of the Cooma office with her 10 years experience in the industry across operations, marketing and property management.

Ray White Rural CEO Stephen Nell congratulated the whole team to Cooma.

“This team is a natural fit to take the real estate market in the Cooma region even further, and provide a level of service never seen before when it comes to commitment and professionalism”, Mr Nell said.
